Embracing the Grey: A Journey of Becoming and Navigating the Grey Zones of Life

In life, we occasionally find ourselves in periods of profound transition—times when what we are becoming is not yet clear.

These are the moments I like to refer to as "birthing in the grey." It's a process that tests our limits, pushes us to reassess our relationships, and demands that we look within ourselves to let go of what no longer serves us.

Through this transformative journey, we have the potential to become more than what we've ever imagined. Here's how.

The Birthing Room: Choosing Your Support System

When it comes to any birthing process, whether physical or spiritual, who you surround yourself with is crucial. As God orchestrates the birthing of something new within you, evaluate your alignments.

Are the people around you supportive of your journey, or are there individuals you need to release from your circle? Letting go might be challenging, but essential for your growth.

Letting Go to Step Forward

Releasing what holds you back is paramount. This includes ideologies, toxic relationships, or old habits.

By shedding these layers, you're making room for the new. As you transition through this crowning moment, it's not merely about what you are birthing but who you are becoming in the process.

Navigating the Grey Zones

Births often occur in what we call "the grey zone"—a space of uncertainty and discomfort. Yet, these grey zones are not a signal of confusion. Instead, they're concealed clarity in progress.

We may not see the full picture, but faith bridges the gap between God's promises and our current reality. Faith encourages us to keep moving forward, even when clarity seems elusive.

Spiritual Strategies for Transition

To navigate the grey area effectively, employ spiritual strategies:

1. Declare What You Believe:

Even before you see the fruits of your purpose, declare your faith in God's plans. Speak positively over your health, finances, and relationships. Let your words water the seeds of possibility planted by God.

2. Embrace the "I Am Now Declaration:

Write a declaration of who you are becoming, rooted in purpose. Recognize that your spiritual journey is not just about achieving but about becoming.

As you evolve, reflect on traits you aspire to cultivate, such as patience, humility, and love.

Embracing God's Divine Timing

Embedded within this transitional process are discomfort, delay, and sometimes prolonged waiting.

Embedded within this transitional process are discomfort, delay, and sometimes prolonged waiting. o our purpose when the season is right.

During these times, hold on to the promise that what you're enduring is deliberately shaping you.

Transform the Natural into the Supernatural

Understand that what occurs in the natural realm often reflects spiritual realities. Discomfort is God's tool for refining and drawing attention to what requires our focus and growth.

Conclusion: Stepping Into Abundant Faith

The journey through the grey, the birthing season, is enriched with lessons of perseverance, faith, and trust in the unseen. As you navigate these moments, remember that God is intentionally working something magnificent in and through you.

Embrace the process of becoming while holding steadfast to the vision He has for your life.

May this be a season of transformation and abundant faith for you. God bless you, and as you embark on this path of becoming, know that understanding will come "by and by."

Keep pressing forward, for there are glorious things waiting to be birthed through you.

My Second Act

I recently launched a new brand concept called "Package Your Presence." For the longest time, I was ashamed of living in the grey. Having all the knowledge, experience, and wisdom, but not knowing what to do next or how to present myself as the thought-leader I knew I was.

After trying to determine the one area I felt most passionate about, and trying to create an image that I felt comfortable showing up every day, I asked myself, "Why isn't my presence enough?" and How do I package all that I have learned and accomplished in one specific title?"

Soon after, I was spiritually impregnated with the thought, "Package Your Presence." I'm building a movement for women approaching or over 50 years old who are transitioning in life's new directions, and they still desire to pursue a "2nd Act."

You can find more teaching on my new YouTube Channel, called "The Grey Wisdom Collective." @wisdomingrey. What you will discover is that this is a bold, yet subtle and silent movement for women who refuse to give up on their dreams regardless of the grey hair or grey zones in life.
